Deer Country Quilts Newsletter

  May 2016

I love that it is May now!  I turned my calendar over to a happy face sun with the caption "here comes the sun" and what a beautiful sunny day it was!! It was a spring with a promise of summer kind of day.
Teresa, Tammy, and I are heading to Salt Lake City for Spring Quilt Market!
We love getting re-energized by all the booths with new fabric and patterns.  So...we hope to come back with plenty of inspiration for you.  Hopefully we don't come back broke but Tammy said that's why we have credit cards!! Indeed!  Happy Quilting, Pam

Join us for a Spring Tea
on Friday May 27th at 1:00!
Our special guest will be Nancy Richwine from Kalispell.  Nancy is this years featured quilter for the Stray Threads Quilting Guild in Woodenville, WA. Their quilt show is this month and since Nancy will have her quilts boxed up to hang in the show we invited her to share them with us.  So come join us for tea, treats, fellowship and a wonderful trunk show.  We can also share our impressions of Quilt Market.

Crystal Blue with Toni
June 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th
This is the actual picture I took of Toni's stunning quilt! She made this in less than a week and it is not paper pieced.  This is a pre-cut kit from Hoffman using all of their basic 1895 batiks.  The pieces have been laser cut for accuracy and they are all labeled. Toni will help you through the process of putting it together over the month of June.  There is also a silver/white with teal accent colorway (Crystal Clear).  The kit is $198 and is ready to open and sew!  If you are interested call and reserve your kit soon!
