 August 2018

Happy August!
Summer is going by but I am trying to enjoy every moment of it! I think this is the summer for babies. My daughter-in-law and niece both announced they were having babies.  I was in Billings last week for a joint baby shower for Megan and one of her friends.  I am giving Megan a baby shower this weekend.  Yesterday I went to Missoula to buy supplies for it and it seemed like I saw a lot of women who were pregnant.  Maybe I am just focused on babies! I must make baby quilts!  Happy Quilting, Pam

*What's New*
Sarina has been checking a lot of fabric in July!  Much of it has been Christmas.  We will have the complete line of Holly Taylor's Return to Cub Lake and Primitive Gathering's Wool and Needle VI flannels coming in.  Think fall! Here are a couple other items we are excited about:

Cosmo Embroidery floss! I love Cosmo Embroidery floss ever since I went the Crabapple Hill retreat.  This is just 144 of the solid colors.  We are still waiting for the 140 variegated floss cabinet to come in!

Grunge Seeing Stars by Basic Grey for Moda!  There are 40 different colors and we have all of them including pre-cuts!  The look great with our Grunge Dots!

Jelly Roll Rug
Friday August 24th
This is such a popular project right now.  I have not seen a rug that wasn't super cute and fun! We all have jelly rolls that we bought with good intentions of using and yet they still sit on the shelf.  It takes one jelly roll and 2 of Bosal's Katahdin On-A-Roll packages to make a 30" x 44" rug.

Montana! My Heart, My Home or Big Love
Wednesday August 29th
Show off your love for Montana with either of these wall hangings!  LaRee can help you pick fabrics and show you the basics of fusible applique.  These patterns have different images included so you can customize your own wall hanging.  These would make a wonderful gift also!

The Gentle Art of Hand Stitching
Thursday August 30th
We find hand stitching to be very therapeutic for the soul, even more so with friends!  Bring whatever hand work you are working on whether it is a wool project, embroidery or simply have a quilt to bind.  No skill is required.  We can all share ideas and techniques and learn from each other! Note that we switched this group from a Friday to Thursday.

Or dog hair..........thought this was appropriate for my life now!
