  April 2016

Vacation is past, retreats are done, the baby was born, and Easter is over. Hard to imagine how April can top that! I also finished my wool bee blocks for our Blessed Bee block of the month! It feels so good to finish those projects that just hang over our heads. I am really looking forward to starting something different! Now to decide......

Claire decided to enter the world on the morning that Tammy and I went to town to shop for our 2nd retreat (March 16). I got a text just as we were walking into Costco.  Boy did we power shop!! We did Costco and Walmart in 2 hours, had a quick lunch and got back to Seeley.  I threw my retreat bag into the car and was in Helena at 4:00. Tammy was kicked to the curb:)  Everything went smoothly for Tomoko. Claire was 6 lbs even and was 19 3/4" long.  What a wonder a new born is!! Perfect in every way!!

I was going to stay and come home Sunday however karma happened!  Tammy ended up coming down with the flu and left on Saturday so I did get to get back to help Teresa, who was filling in for me, with rest of the retreat.  I was happy to see our retreat girls though.  By the way, did one of you leave your easy spirit slip-ons by the door of the conference center? We have them at the store so give us a call!

Now for the pictures!  Happy Quilting, Pam....one shameless and proud grandma

*In the store now*
We have been getting new fabric in and one of the lines I really love is the Bee Creative fabric line by Deb Strain for Moda.  Bee motifs are really popular for fabric lines. We also will be getting in Bees N Blooms by Kansas Troubles. We will have precuts as well as yardage in both lines.

Hoffman Fabrics has a variety of precut kits from tablerunners, to wildlife, to poof ottomans.  The open and sew kits are just that.  The pieces are cut to size and the fusible appliques are laser cut so literally all you do is open the kit and start sewing!

*We've Got your Back Sale*
April 22nd - 24th
This is a semi-annual sale where you get 30% off fabric for your back of any completed top that you bring in! The discount only applies if your top is present and only for the amount of fabric you will need for your back.

As long as we are talking about backs, this
beautiful sculpture was in a garden of a
museum we visited while in Palm Dessert.
She is about to wrap that lovely quilt around her
back! I love how the quilt looks like it is flowing
in the wind. She was larger than life size too!
This picture doesn't do it justice.
