Happy November!
What a whirlwind October was as our retreats took up most of the energy for the month. We did love seeing everyone again! We have the best groups of quilters! Now on to the whirlwind of upcoming holidays with the cooking, cleaning, and company that goes with it. I get to throw in a couple of birthdays for 2 pretty special one year olds too! I also get to throw in my own birthday and it's a big one (a sad, sad one)!! Make sure to check what's in store for that day! Happy Quilting, Pam
*National Happy Hour Day*
November 12th
We love these calendars where there is holiday for everything. Well, National Happy Hour Day just happens to fall on my birthday! So we might as well celebrate! We are going to have Happy Hour at Deer Country Quilts from 3:00 - 5:00 on Tuesday the 12th. During that time you will get to celebrate my birthday with my half off birthday discount of 30% on all of our pre-cut fabrics (do the math, sigh...) Pre-cuts include 5" and 10" squares, 2 1/2" rolls, panels, fat quarters, and half yard cuts.
As an added bonus, we will have cake and beverage!!!

Make up our Happy Thanksgiving wall hanging in time for Thanksgiving! The "Thankful" panel is by Deb Strain for Moda. We used the "Fall Window" pattern by Pine Tree Country Quilts. We have it on our website!

Monthly Gatherings and Classes
Call the store to sign up and for information about class supplies. All classes begin at 10:00 am unless noted otherwise.
2nd Saturday Class
Ryokan (Japanese Inn)
November 9th, 10:00-12:00
We are continuing our block of the month "Ryokan" by ThimbleCreek Quilts. The little houses are all the same and the 6" block in the house changes each month. We are using mostly Japanese taupes in our quilt. It will measure 62" x 75" when completed. $12.00/month for 12 months. We have just a few kits remaining!
 
Jubilant Table Runner
November 10th, 12:00 pm
Get in the holiday spirit by decorating with a new table runner. LaRee will help you construct this 17 1/2" x 51 1/2" runner from the book "Winterlude" by Doug Leko.
Hand Stitching
November 15th
We find hand stitching to be very therapeutic for the soul, even more so with friends! Bring whatever hand work you are working on whether it is a wool project, embroidery or simply have a quilt to bind. No skill is required. We can all share ideas and techniques and learn from each other!
Foundation Piecing with Toni
November 26th
Join Toni on the last Tues. of the month to work on any of her foundation pieced patterns. You can come and learn Toni's foundation pieced method or come and work on an existing project you have started with her.
