Is it really July already?! July is one of my favorite months because it hosts my favorite holiday - Independence Day! While this July 4th is not going to be filled with my favorite activities - parades and bbqs - I'm still looking forward to celebrating! It has been a whirlwind of a month - but in a good way for us here at Deer Country Quilts! There are so many changes, but one constant in the midst of it all is you - our Amazing Customers!! I have been so blessed by your encouragement and patronage, and I am so honored to be able to continue on the wonderful legacy of Deer Country Quilts. Thank you so much!!

We will be OPEN on July 4th!
We are having classes again, but limiting the number of people to 4, unless otherwise stated. We will not be having Soup-r-sew this month, but we will have an open-sew day and an open-stitch day. Please call our store to sign up for classes and open sew days (406) 677-2730. Classes start at 10:15am unless otherwise stated. The instruction is free.
Beginner's Sewing Project: Pillow
Thursday, July 9th
Learn how to make a cute throw pillow like this one that LaRee made! It is the perfect project for a beginner! You will learn about piecing, quilting, and binding - all in one small project.

Free-motion Quilting
Monday/Tuesday, July 13th-14th
Come learn how to free-motion quilt on your sewing machine. This is a two-day class, and you will be able to leave your machine and supplies at our store overnight.
Text It!
Thursday, July 16th
LaRee has been having a blast making projects out of this book "Text It!" by Sherri Noel. This is a great class for learning applique'. You must purchase the book to take the class ($24.99).
Hand-Stitch Day
Monday, July 20th
Bring your stitching or hand-sewing project and come work on it in our classroom. This is an open-sew (not a class), but please let us know if you're planning to attend.
Miniatures with Toni
Tuesday, July 28th
Toni has been doing miniatures for years and has quite a collection of them. She is going to be teaching some using her foundation piecing. You will need to purchase Toni's foundation pattern for $10.
Friday, August 7th
Open-Sew Day
Bring any of your own projects and come sew with us! We will not be providing lunch, but you are welcome to bring your own or order from one of the local restaurants.
