On the one hand I can't believe summer is ending, but on the other hand I am ready to embrace fall. September hosts the first day of fall - one of the most beautiful seasons! September also hosts Labor Day, which means a 3-day weekend for most people. Here at Deer Country Quilts, though, we will be having regular business hours for the whole weekend. That's right - we are OPEN on Labor Day. We are open M-F 10am-5pm, Sat. 10am-4pm, and Sun. 11am-4pm (as usual, though, on Sun. we switch to 12pm-4pm starting 9/13 until the end of May). Our class schedule is still light, but please email me if there's something you'd like to learn - I'd love to schedule a one-on-one class for you if possible. New Kit Alert!
This quick & easy wildlife quilt kit features the panel "Nestled In Nature" by Hoffman Fabrics and uses the pattern "Nesting Animals" by CastillejaCotton. The kit includes the fabrics for the top and binding, as well as the pattern. The finished size is approximately 52" x 64".
We are having some classes, but limiting the number of people to 4, unless otherwise stated. Please call our store to sign up for classes (406) 677-2730. Classes start at 10:15am unless otherwise stated. The instruction is free.
2nd Saturday Class
Phew! The 2nd Saturday BOM class has done it again! Another year down, another quilt done! We're taking a break this month, but will be starting up again in October with a new quilt, new teachers, and possibly a new day of the week. Stay tuned!

The pattern "Basket of Charms" by Sweet Jane's Quilting & Design will be available for purchase at our shop for $9.00, includes directions for 3 sizes of baskets: small- 6" x 4" x 3 1/2" deep, medium- 9 1/2" x 6" x 4 1/2" deep and large- 11" x 6" x 4 1/2" deep.
Ginger Stalks Quilt

September 19th is "Sew A Jelly Roll Day" and what better way to celebrate than by making this fun quilt. The pattern is "Ginger Stalks" by Beyond the Reef ($10). We have lots of strip packs to choose from - which will you choose?
Miniatures with Toni
Tuesday, September 29th
Toni has been doing miniatures for years and has quite a collection of them. She is going to be teaching some using her foundation piecing. You will need to purchase Toni's foundation pattern for $10. This one finishes at 11"x11".
